Thoughts On E3 2018

We spent a great deal of time continuing our development of Collidalot during E3. We planned lunch breaks during particular E3 presentations so that we could still stay up to speed and followed updates as best we could. With that said, we are excited! Some presentations were incredible and pleasantly surprised us while others fell flat but the positives outweighed the negatives and some upcoming games look awesome.

Nintendo surely delighted the entire Smash community with the new Super Smash Bros: Ultimate, Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima is a gorgeous looking new IP, and Microsoft announced a slew of sequels. We still have no idea what Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding is actually about and Cyberpunk 2077 is also a bit of a mystery, but the new Spiderman game’s open world travel game looks smooth as butter and Fallout 76 sounds fun to finally be able to play with friends.

Fire Emblem, Fortnite, and the new Mario Party on Switch should be a lot of fun, but Daemon X Machina has me particularly intrigued. Beyond that, we’re excited to have heard more about the game-enabling technologies that are being worked on and coming very soon! All in all, E3 has been fun so far, but it seems like a lot of set up for what we will see at E3 2019 and E3 2020.

Lastly, our Twitter is pretty awesome. You should follow us there and on our other social accounts if you haven’t already.

My Two Cents,
